Are you a man of color*
Seeking authentic connections in a safe container of exploration?
Wanting a supportive space to unwind from white supremacy and patriarchy?
Ready to shed and redefine your relationship to manhood and masculinity?
Men everywhere are waking up to the harm that we have internalized and perpetuate in today’s society, particularly the 'toxic masculinity' perpetuated by patriarchy.
Toxic masculinity is an inherently narrow and restrictive band of behavior, belief and appearance that often perpetuates harm to all genders. Men of color* have the additional challenge of negotiating the violence of systemic oppression, while accounting for our male privilege.
How do we heal our relationship to gender within a toxic culture?
This is daylong for men of color to connect and discover how to be a safer refuge for each other and those around us.
Through mindfulness practices, embodied relational exercises, dialogue, play and ritual we will unpack how patriarchy has shaped our self-expressions. We will examine our relationship to power and control, gender norms, love and vulnerability along a path to recover non-patriarchal expressions of who we are as humans.
We are intentionally keeping this circle small for intimacy so register soon and spread the word! This is a confidential and non-judgmental space to encourage us to explore and express our authentic selves.
*While this group recognizes and honors the spectrum of gender and non-binary identities, it is intended for cis-gendered men of color, including mixed-race folks.
